An interesting fungi which is the fruiting body of the fungal partner in a lichen. In this lichen the fruiting body is the dominant feature of the associated algal cells that appear as a green mat, most likely Coccomyxa sp., which may only be sparse, on the surface of a bare patch of soil. Inedible
